A week in Colorado, spent mostly in Denver but with a day trip to Rocky Mountain National Park.

This was my first trip to a US national park, despite having lived here for almost a decade (excluding one attempt aborted many years ago thanks to food poisoning): mostly because they're rarely accessible by public transport and partly because there's so much to do in New York, they've never been a priority.

This set is from Trail Ridge Road, at ~3000m (~10000ft) altitude: as high as our tour bus could reach this late in the season.

We were lucky with a beautiful clear day, surely one of the last this year; that night, a multi-day snowstorm moved in.
