Photo club assignment: shadows.⠀

First, Bailey Fountain at Grand Army Plaza fountain.

The previous evening I'd seen amazing shadows from surrounding trees - calling by in the morning light they had vanished but I liked the extreme contrast between the statue and the bright drops of water.

It's a kind of shadow.⠀

Second, my backup idea of shadows on the ground suggesting summer.

This is a totally boring patch of footpath, also near Grand Army Plaza - absolutely one of my least favourite parts of the city, a traffic clogged nightmare for pedestrians.

I like how in the right light even this can remind me that it's bright and warm.⠀
